Scrapbooking of local newspaper articles and obituaries was a popular hobby in pre-internet days. Many scrapbooks have been donated to us and are fascinating reads for anyone interested in past slices of life.

VAHS0055 - Scrapbook of Obituaries 1897-1951. We are not sure of the original creator of this scrapbook, but it was loaned to us for scanning in October 2018 by Bernice S. Hughes. Included are obituaries for some notable Verona citizens such as Minnie Mae Matts, Doc H.A. Sharpe, William G.L. Matts, and Jesse Meyers - among others.
